Tuesday 20th September 2011. Today we moved the third and final (ok, there’s a teeeny bit more still at my parents’ but then we’re done!) load of stuff into the new flat, ready to actually start living here for real.
After unloading everything, we had a quick unpack, made a few calls about utilities and other exciting domestic things, before going out for lunch at Ego - a mediterranean restaurant in Kenilworth - because they’d sent me a 2 for 1 voucher for my birthday (how sweet!) Lunch was great - and not just because it provided an excuse to sit down with a large glass of wine after a horrible drive down the M1!
This afternoon we unpacked a bit more and went to Asda to stock up the cupboards (where we also ended up buying a new microwave!) before finally stopping for a cup of tea, made in our new teapot! It’s quite exciting to have everything unpacked and food in the fridge.
